Description: This course will construe forgiveness primarily within the rubric of the character and mission of God. Thus, it will primarily be theologically and biblically driven. Understanding forgiveness from this perspective not only requires a well-developed understanding of what forgiveness is but also requires a deeper understanding of God. Significant focus will also be given for helping someone respond to interpersonal sin in a way that honors God.

Purchase the Video of the Abuse in the Church Conference

In 2012, we offered a two-day conference for the Summer Counseling Institute entitled: Abuse in the Church: Biblical, Legal & Counseling Perspectives with guest speakers Dr. Phil Monroe and Dr. Boz Tchividjian. The goal was to equip the attendees to be empowered to personally respond to this issue and to help your organizations prepare and implement procedures to both prevent abuse and take appropriate action when the issue presents itself.
