RECALL OF LIBRARY ITEMS

From time to time it may be necessary to request that a patron return a borrowed item before its due date for a class-related activity or course reserve. Borrowers are notified by e-mail (or phone when an e-mail address is not available) of the recall and are given one week in which to return the recalled item. If the item is not returned by the new due date, the borrower will be charged $5.00 per item per day until the item is returned. Once the borrower has been notified of the recall, it is the responsibility of the borrower, not the library staff, to return the item and/or verify that it has been returned in a timely manner. The library staff is not responsible for any accrued late charges on materials recalled for course reserve.
