Financial Aid
Financial Aid Resources
We believe that no qualified student should be discouraged
from pursuing seminary for merely financial reasons.
Our students receive awards, scholarships, and grants
from a variety of sources and we encourage each student
to develop a personal financial plan.
A financial aid application is required when applying
for any assistantship, grant, entitlement, or scholarship
from Biblical. A new application must be submitted
each year with all of the required documentation.
Faculty or Department Assistantships
Applicants who are enrolled in a degree program and
who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may
be eligible to earn a stipend for assisting a professor
as a teaching assistant. This generally requires a
commitment to work five hours per week.
Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher may
be eligible to earn a stipend by serving a department
of the seminary. This generally requires a commitment
to work 10 hours per week.
Grants
Students with a demonstrated financial need who are
enrolled in a degree program for at least three credit
hours per semester may be eligible for a grant. All
students are encouraged to apply.
Scholarships
Scholarships are managed through our financial aid
grant application process and must be resubmitted each
year. Scholarships are limited in number.
Entitlements
A missionary on furlough is entitled to a 25% tuition
discount if he or she is sponsored by a recognized
sending agency and is returning from a country other
than his or her own for a sabbatical or time of respite
between assignments. A missionary is required to provide
a letter from the sponsoring organization confirming
the missionary's status.
The spouse of a full-time student is entitled to a
50% tuition discount.
Veterans Benefits
As an accredited school, Biblical is recognized by
the Veterans Administration. To determine eligibility,
students should contact a regional VA office.
Student Ministries, Inc.
Christian workers who are only partially supported
by a church or other ministry organization while furthering
their ministry training may qualify for additional
compensation. Student Ministries, Inc. also remunerates
students for performing Christian ministry instead
of unrelated secular work. For additional information
see their website: www.studentministriesinc.org
Student Loans
Biblical does not participate in loan programs guaranteed
by the federal government. We do have a relationship
with an educational lending institution that is available
to students who are enrolled at least half-time. Current information and applications are
available online at www.SallieMae.com
Tuition Payments
A student's account must be current (no outstanding
balances) at all times. Students may make payments
under our FACTS Tuition Management System or before
each semester. FACTS is a no-interest payment plan
with a small enrollment fee.
