Steve is also deeply interested in issues of interpretation, how human beings come to understand communication. This interest leads Steve into the study of Jewish interpretation of the Bible, the New Testament use of the Old, Patristic use of the Bible, philosophical hermeneutics, and the modern challenges of missional contextualization.
