Romans
12:11-13
The key word most likely is “acceptance”….the
readiness to have the Lord prescribe for us
our position in the exercise of life.
1. Be orderly (v. 11)
--
attentive to duty!
--
encouraged in heart!
--
keeping priorities properly
The essence is that
God desires that we construct life
that reflects the truth that He is
a God honored by decency and order. I
Corinthians 14:33, 40
2. Keep a good morale (v.
12)
--
remember the assurances of God. Romans 8:18,
24
--
learn in your tough moments: Romans 5:3;
James 1:2-4
--
look to God and trust: Luke 18:1; Colossians
4:2
This is a matter of
believing God more than being threatened
by one’s circumstances. We are
on the winning side and while there
is no boasting in ourselves there is
great confidence in the Lord.
3. Reach out! (v. 13)
--
share! Hebrews 13:16, et al.
--
be hospitable….Hebrews 13:2
Great joy is found
in serving others but if one’s
time and energy is totally taken up
with self…this blessing will
be missed. The advice is not to be
greedy but to reach our and enjoy the
abundance of God.
And… it is not
a new bunch of laws but guidance in the will
of God for daily, personal life.
