Internet Access & Personal Laptops
The library offers freely available wireless internet access to all students and visitors for their personal laptops. Ethernet access is also available throughout the library; cables may be borrowed from the circulation desk.
All guests may use the computer lab during open library hours. Internet access is also available to everyone from the 3 computers located in the Bound Periodical Room.
Computer Lab
The lab contains 20 computers and individual work stations, including four Macs and a scanner.
Please note that the computer lab is not part of the library -- it is simply located here for patron convenience. We are willing to help as much as possible, but the library staff is unable to answer all your questions about computer access or I.T. problems. Biblical's information technology staff can assist you with your computer questions and problems.
Printers
Patrons may use the printers in the computer lab and the Bound Periodical Room.
Printing privileges can be purchased at a rate of $0.05 per page in $1.00 or $5.00 increments at the circulation desk. Faculty, staff, and students begin each semester with 100 free pages on their account.
Copiers
The library has two photocopiers for patron use, which use an electronic key-card system. Please note: Biblical does not own the photo copiers. As a result, the following rules and warnings apply:
- You must purchase your card from the library staff. The cost is $1.00 for the card, which is yours to keep.
- Copies are $0.10 per sheet and you may choose any amount you want added (e.g., $1.50, $3.00, $5.00, $20.00, etc.) onto the card.
- Each time an additional amount is added to your card subsequent to initial purchase, there is a $0.25 recharge fee in addition to the amount you want added to the card (e.g., if you give us $5.00, we will add $4.75 to your card).
- The library does not buy back copy cards or provide refunds for any reason.
- PLEASE DO NOT put your card in an ATM machine or expose it to any other strong magnetic field. The card will be rendered useless and no refunds will be given.
- It is the student's responsibility to observe the U.S. copyright law (Title 17, United States Code). For more information, refer to the copyright laws. Notice: The copyright law of the United States governs the making of photocopies of copyrighted material.
Media Equipment
The library owns two televisions with attached VHS players, a DVD player, and a microfiche/microfilm reader, all of which may be used free of charge on a first-come-first-served basis. Copies may be printed from the microfiche/microfilm reader for $0.10 a page.
