More history: Dr. MacRae and his colleagues became the founding faculty and classes began meeting in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania granted Biblical the right to grant degrees in 1974; in 1978 the school's name was changed to Biblical Theological Seminary.

Dr. David G. Dunbar was inaugurated as Biblical's third president in 1986. Biblical was accredited by the Middle States Association in 1990 and by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada in 1995.

Biblical Seminary is located in southeastern Pennsylvania, within easy driving distance of Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Allentown, PA. Local trains and SEPTA buses also provide access to the school. The area boasts historical landmarks (Valley Forge, Independence Hall, and Washington's Crossing, to name a few), cultural attractions, outdoor activities, and beautiful countryside.
