Cohort community
When you enroll in the LEAD or URBAN LEAD program, you become a member of a cohort that moves through the sequenced courses together. Your cohort attends the annual fall retreat with other cohorts. At the end of your program, your cohort travels with a professor on the 9-10 day Intercultural Ministry Experience.
What do students say?
The cohort format has contributed to the development of relationships in our class that, hopefully, will lend to the development of ministry relationships outside the classroom for the purposes of mission. I'm encouraged that we have covenanted to persevere through this program together! ....the healthy (and lively!) discussions we've had have been very beneficial to my relational maturation as I learn to engage in loving ways with people from different theological and ecclesiological backgrounds. (Class of 2011)
The relationships that have been developing with my fellow cohort members, and the staff and faculty at Biblical will last for eternity.I know that the relationships that are being developed between myself and others at the school will last for eternity. What a testimony this is for racial and ethnic reconciliation in the Body of Christ! (Class of 2011)
My experience as a member of the M.Div Urban Lead Co-hort has been eye opening and liberating. I have been introduced to some great people at Biblical and I have grown to appreciate the class room co-hort experience as you are challenged academically and relationally. The focus on how to reach the urban community is invaluable and I have been able to utilize principles from the classroom directly into my ministry context. (Class of 2011)
