LEAD Retreats
Retreats are an integral part of the LEAD and URBAN LEAD curriculum. Retreats provide enrichment, refreshment, community, and spiritual formation. Retreat speakers come from a variety of ministry settings--authors, pastors,
ministry leaders, Biblical professors.
There are five retreats in the curriculum. All are required and have been designed so that active ministry leaders
and pastors are able to fulfill the requirement.
The annual fall retreat is held at the peaceful National Christian Conference Center in beautiful Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Spouses are invited to attend the retreat for an additional charge. The retreat begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and ends early on Sunday morning.
Other retreats include a 1) self-directed retreat and 2) senior year retreat directed by the professor of the Intercultural Ministry Experience.
What do students say?

We went on a Retreat ... and for the first time in my lifeI had the opportunity to fellowship and worship with Asian, White, and Hispanic members of the Body of Christ. I had the opportunity to sit and discuss ministry, life, family, goals, obstacles, trials, tribulations, and victories with people that if it were not for Biblical Theological Seminary I doubt that I would have had the opportunity to ever meet. I am looking forward to continuing my studies at Biblical. (Class of 2011)
