Coaching - Individual and Team

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

C4ML offers coaching for those pursuing a more deeply missional or "re-misssioned" life and/or ministry. Coaching is an intentional, professional relationship that seeks to help the client understand with greater clarity where they want to go and then to develop an action plan to get there.

Why Coaching?

C4ML Coaching believes you are the expert - in your life, ministry and context. Coaching aims to guide you to your own conclusions by helping you process your own observations and experiences. We believe God is at work in you and coaching will help you discern what is being said and how best to respond.

We do not come with pre-conceived plans or solutions. Your coach will help you interpret your situation and develop your plan for addressing the goals that will help you achieve your objectives.

How Does Coaching Work?

In a coaching appointment, your coach will:

  • Ask pointed and probing questions
  • Encourage you to consider several possible strategies and options
  • Help you deepen understanding of your current reality
  • Focus on action steps toward self directed goals
  • Serve as an accountability partner to help you follow through on agreed action steps
  • Assist you in setting priorities and timelines

C4ML Coaching is Distinctively Biblical

C4ML Coaching is Distinctively from a biblical worldview, with commitment to upholding the values and behaviors of Christ followers. Therefore we add to the ICF values the following components:

  • The Spirit of God is at work in the person being coached, He brings insight and enlightenment to both parties in the coaching relationship.
  • As followers of Jesus we both desire and need to be on mission with Him. The coaching relationship enables us to pursue mission intentionally in our personal and professional lives.
  • The Christian virtues of mutual teachability, humility, and community allow those in coaching relationships to achieve more together than they would separately.

In addition to providing coaching for individuals, C4ML also provides coaching training for ministries interested in creating a "coaching culture" in their Christian community.
