Director and Professor of the Graduate School of Counseling

Biblical Seminary is seeking a Director and Professor of the Graduate School of Counseling. This individual will oversee the Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program as well as other certificate programs, teach counseling courses, supervise staff and faculty within the GSOC, and serve as a member of the BTS faculty. The Graduate School of Counseling houses our Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program, our Certificate in Christian Counseling (CCC), our Certificate in Advanced Professional Counseling (CAPC), and the Global Trauma Recovery Institute (GTRI). The MAC program is cohort-based and has both a two-year non-licensure track and a three-year licensure track. Our goal is to prepare Christian counselors for professional and non-professional ministry who love people in all their God-given diversity, who engage science and culture with wisdom and discernment, and who skillfully apply the grace and truth of the Gospel first to their own lives and then to their counselees.

Qualifications:

  1. A PhD in psychology or counseling.
  2. Mental health licensure, practicing at least one day per week.
  3. 5+ years teaching experience in a higher educational setting.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work well with others in a team setting.
  5. An ability to lead in developing a curriculum able to reach diverse populations.
  6. Strong administrative and organizational gifts.
  7. A commitment to Christ and a desire to help the Seminary achieve its mission of preparing missional leaders for the church.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the GSOC; its staff, its various programs and functions, and its various curricular offerings.
  2. Manage department budget.
  3. Work with the Dean to manage and oversee counseling faculty (including adjunct faculty).
  4. Intervene as necessary to address student issues and/or resolve concerns or needs.
  5. Chair the GSOC Committee.
  6. Supervise department assistants and assistant director(s).
  7. Ensure fulfillment of all NBCC CE status requirements and all accreditation requirements.
  8. Assist admissions in recruitment and tracking of prospective and current students.
  9. Member of the resident teaching faculty with a 4-5 course (12-15 credit) teaching load.

First Korean United Methodist Church, Cherry Hill, NJ

(posted 11/17/17) – FKUMC (First Korean United Methodist Church) of Cherry Hill is seeking a part-time female youth pastor to serve along with the current full-time youth pastor. Through God’s grace our youth ministry has been growing recently with an attendance of more than 50 youth for Saturday Night Fellowship (SNF) and more than 80 youth on Sundays.

Billing Specialist (part-time) - The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting clean claims (electronically or paper) to various insurance; posting hospital charges and home visit charges, insurance payments/remittances, and patient receipts. This position is responsible for maintaining up-to-date responses to claim denials and correspondence with insurance and performing various collection actions for past due balances from insurance and patient payments which includes review rejected claims and take appropriate actions, including re-billing or transferring bills to second insurance or to the patient.

Cafe Team Member (part-time) - The Cafe Team Member is responsible for providing healthy food options for the patients, staff and the general public connected to the clinic community. The Cafe Team Member performs the food preparation, customer service and kitchen sanitation tasks. Additional responsibilities include driving and purchasing goods and supplies; stocking café supplies; operating the cash register; monitoring the functioning of equipment; and opening and closing the café for operation depending on the shift. This position is 23 hours/week.

Clerical Assistant - The Clerical Assistant is responsible for registering patients’ demographics, insurance, and financial information into the EMR prior to service. Clerical Assistants utilize insurance websites or directly contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and to confirm provider assignment. Other responsibilities include preparing fee tickets prior to clinical visit, and notating all issues concerning insurance problems or missing documentation.

Dispensary Manager - The Dispensary Manager is responsible to oversee all dispensing operations of Esperanza Health Center’s dispensary operations. Supervises dispensary staff, ensuring they are properly trained. Facilitates smooth and efficient operations. Occasionally works directly in dispensaries to cover staff absences. Reports to the Director of Operations.

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Support Specialist - The EMR Support Specialist plays a key role in providing technical expertise and direct support and ongoing training for staff using Esperanza’s GE Centricity EMR. By working closely with the clinical staff for training and support, the EMR Support Specialist is actively involved in identifying and implementing enhancements and improvements to workflows and system features. Primary responsibilities include directing IT desk support, conducting EMR training sessions and follow-up, performance and process improvement, content development for workflow analysis, and maintaining EMR permissions and user lists.

Medical Assistant - The Medical Assistant will serve as a member of the Medical Assistant team providing support of the clinicians and in the provision of safe and whole person care to our patients. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing adults and children for exams and assists adult practitioners and pediatricians. They will address the needs of walk-in and call-in patients; help make arrangements for needed follow up. The Medical Assistant may also perform phlebotomy, cover the dispensary role, tend to orderliness, cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms between patient visits; assist in organizing storage areas; and nurture the spiritual growth of team members and patients.

Other responsibilities include: welcoming patients and guests and providing active assistance in directing around the facility, watching and responding to issues on security monitors and general facility surveillance, coordinate shipping & receiving functions for HP site, and other operations projects such as supplies ordering and maintenance coordination. Souderton Mennonite Church, Souderton, PA

Chinese Christian Church & Center, Philadelphia, PA

(Posted 6/5/17) – We are a Chinese-American church located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Chinatown, consisting of three language ministries and a community center. We are searching for an Assistant Pastor to work with our Cantonese pastoral team to shepherd the Cantonese Speaking Congregation, to assist in our Northeast Philadelphia outreach ministry, and to mobilize the congregation in evangelism and discipleship in order to fulfill our goal as a disciple-making church.

The applicant must be a born-again Christian with a MDiv degree or equivalent from an accredited seminary (ordination is not required). This person should have a proven record of gospel outreach to the Chinese community in North America, be fluent in Cantonese and English, with an understanding of Mandarin preferred. In the future, the successful candidate of this position may have the opportunity to be put in charge of the Northeast ministry.
