Director of Church and Alumni Relations
(Posted 2/8/17) – Biblical Seminary has an immediate opening for Director of Church and Alumni Relations. Reporting to the VP for Advancement, the Director of Church and Alumni Relations will be a maturing Christian with the skills, experience, and drive necessary to advance the seminary’s church and alumni relations.
- Understand and articulate the seminar’s mission and vision, committed to the core values of the seminary
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills (public speaking, teaching, and preaching communication skills)
- Have a demonstrated track record of leadership with the church and/or with Christian ministries
- Preach or otherwise represent BTS at least one Sunday per month at congregations
- Identify the strengths of the BTS faculty and administrators to engage them in meaningful ministry opportunities in their respective areas of strength
- Build strong relationships with church and ministry leaders throughout the northeast corridor (NYC-DC)
- Recruit and support a robust Alumni Relations Counsel, inviting the support, counsel, and participation of BTS grads
- Able to take initiative in organizing local and regional conferences
- Work closely with the development and admissions departments to identify and recruit prospective students and donors

Esperanza Health Center, Philadelphia, PA
(Posted 3/8/17) - Founded in 1989, Esperanza Health Center is a Christian non-profit community health center serving the Latino and underserved communities of North Philadelphia, providing a range of health services including adult and pediatric primary care, dental care, women’s health and prenatal care, behavioral health services, nutrition counseling, HIV/AIDS care, social services, and spiritual care.
Primary Care Physicians - Esperanza Health Center, a faith based primary health care clinic in Philadelphia, seeks board certified Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds Physicians to provide Christ-centered primary care to the predominantly Latino North Philadelphia community. Spanish functionality (or willingness to learn) is required. Providers have received loan repayment via National Health Service Corps, the Pennsylvania Loan Repayment Program, or Project MedSend.
Nurse Practitioner - Esperanza Health Center, a faith based primary health care clinic in Philadelphia, seeks a certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in family or adult care, to provide Christ-centered primary care to the predominantly Latino North Philadelphia community. Dentist (part-time) - The Staff Dentist is responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventive dental care in a community health center setting. The Staff Dentist supervises the dental assistants and dental hygienists of the community health center in the absence of the Lead Dentist.
Billing Specialist - The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting clean claims (electronically or paper) to various insurance; posting hospital charges and home visit charges, insurance payments/remittances, and patient receipts. This position is responsible for maintaining up-to-date responses to claim denials and correspondence with insurance and performing various collection actions for past due balances from insurance and patient payments which includes review rejected claims and take appropriate actions, including re-billing or transferring bills to second insurance or to the patient. The ideal candidate will work in harmonious partnership with the billing team, health center staff and volunteers to further Esperanza’s mission and vision, to accomplish common goals, and to coordinate various activities.
Clerical Assistant - The Clerical Assistant is responsible for registering patients’ demographics, insurance, and financial information into the EMR prior to service. Clerical Assistants utilize insurance websites or directly contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and to confirm provider assignment. Other responsibilities include preparing fee tickets prior to clinical visit, and notating all issues concerning insurance problems or missing documentation.
Custodial Specialist (part-time) - The Custodial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly state of the premises of Esperanza Health Center. Additional responsibilities include maintaining environmental services equipment and supplies, performing cleaning and custodial tasks, and participating in seasonal maintenance projects such as snow removal and landscaping. Evening and weekend availability is required. This position is 15 hrs/ week, from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Group Fitness Instructors (part-time) - Esperanza Health Center, a faith-based primary health care clinic in Philadelphia, seeks part-time Group Fitness Instructors, possessing varying group exercise certifications. The Group Fitness Instructor will provide group class fitness instruction for patients and community members. Areas of interest include classes for children and youth fitness, teen fitness, senior fitness, family fitness, martial arts, dance, kickboxing, yoga, Pilates or other specialty areas. The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for preparing and leading group fitness classes, and may also be responsible for registering new participants and processing payments when necessary. Hours will depend on your certifications and our program needs.
Medical Assistant - The Medical Assistant will serve as a member of the Medical Assistant team providing support of the clinicians and in the provision of safe and whole person care to our patients. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing adults and children for exams and assists adult practitioners and pediatricians. They will address the needs of walk-in and call-in patients; help make arrangements for needed follow up. The Medical Assistant may also perform phlebotomy, cover the dispensary role, tend to orderliness, cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms between patient visits; assist in organizing storage areas; and nurture the spiritual growth of team members and patients.
OB Nurse Care Manager (part-time) - The OB Nurse Care Manager is responsible for providing prenatal care management to patients at Esperanza Health Center and related administrative responsibilities. The OB Nurse Care Manager collects patient history for new prenatal patient visits in a clinic session, meets one on one with each prenatal patient to provide prenatal education, schedules ultrasounds and other services, and provides care management for high risk prenatal patients as directed by the clinician. The OB Nurse Care Manager coordinates and facilitates Centering Pregnancy groups, teaches prenatal classes, and provides lactation support and pregnancy testing. Administrative responsibilities include patient recordkeeping, completing OB assessment forms (ONAF), tracking prenatal data, and other tasks. This position is part-time, 24 hrs/week.
Registered Dietitian - The Registered Dietitian is an integral member of the Care Management team, who will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of nutrition counseling among the patient population, accomplishing the goals set forth for disease prevention, and overseeing nutrition education initiatives. This includes providing individual counseling sessions, collaborating with clinicians for Diabetes care management, organizing and implementing group sessions, assisting with clinic health department staff and tracking outcomes in regards to specific grants and general department and clinic goals. This position is part-time, 24 hours/week until July 1st, 2017, at which point it will transition to full-time permanently.
Social Services Case Manager (starting May 2017) - The Social Services Manager (SSM) provides social services at designated Esperanza Health Center sites, addressing patient needs which predispose illness or interfere with benefit from medical care. This includes assisting the uninsured with Marketplace, Medicaid, and/or CHIP insurance applications, HIV testing and counseling in a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to client-centered care. Other responsibilities include serving as an advocate for patients, providing spiritual intervention for patients and sharing hope, building relationships with resource organizations, providing health insurance education and application assistance, managing case notes and properly documenting services provided, and tracking and following up on social services referrals. This position will become available May 2017.

We exist at the center of the most diverse urban center in the world, Queens, NY. Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus, PA
(Updated 3/13/17) – Bethel Bible Fellowship Church in Emmaus is searching for a long-term Lead Pastor to serve primarily through preaching and teach the Word of God. The Lead Pastor shall serve the Lord by serving the congregation of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church in shared ministry with the pastoral staff and the Board of Elders. He shall serve as an Elder in the congregation.
The Lead Pastor shall be accountable to the Board of Elders, who will give him spiritual guidance, and establish and communicate (either verbally or written) his work objectives along with the scope and latitude of his decision-making and the discretion that he may use to carry out those objectives. The Christ Church training center hosts One-Year Pastoral Internships and Two-Year Church Planter Residencies that provide hands-on experience, immersive learning and mentorship with experienced pastors and planters in our Bay Area network. During the program, interns and residents work closely with the Christ Church pastoral staff at one of our three locations, in our church plants and in partnering churches. Once a year, interns and residents will join other pastors and planters from all over the country at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church national church-planting conference.
